West Competition

I bought my Z2LV about two months ago and is still just sitting there with cover off looking fukin beautiful! I am drooling over it's potential, but haven't had the chance to appreciate it's abilities.
I ordered 4 Kinetik 2400's to push my 9512's in the 1.5" Plexiglas box.
I'm still waiting for the 10" custom ports to tune it to about 40 hz.
I also need to find a cheap van to accommodate all of the gear. (Anyone?)
Depending on the type of van that I find, what kind of numbers should I be looking at? I'm hoping to be in the mid 150's.

thats some sick gear you got there man. But mid 150's in a van with only about 6k rms isnt realistic. Especialy in a box that cant be adjusted for tuning.

Im gonna guess around 148-149 if you have 3 or 4 12's.

Thanks for the "sick" comment. I am a believer of go big or die trying.

I'm already hitting high 147's with one battery, an M3, and two 3512's in a trunk at 1 ohm.
The ports are tunable beyond 40. It will just be a starting reference.
I will be using two 9512's d4 with CF caps.
The LV is 8350 watts at 1 ohm with 14.4 volts and with a good head unit.
I was looking at an Aztek because it seems to be like a giant CRX and should afford me the extra room for the ports.

at 1 ohm before the rise. but what about after? If your impedance rises by 3-4 times at the least (which is very common) you'd be lucky to get 4k rms.

if you really want to do spl this way you need to get dual 1's.

wire at 0.25 ohm for spl and 1 ohm for daily. if you try to do spl at 1 ohm i can tell you now you will be very dissappointed.

the rise will be your biggest enemy. Big car - lower note - higher rise.

are you planning to do this from the back of the van? As much as I'd love to see you accomplish that, i'd have to say it will be VERY hard. You'd probably have to try a TON of boxes.
