completly boggled with amp Clipping!!!!

Did you try as i suggested?
My friend owns a car audio store,and has tested some of the yellow tops from interstate,and found some didn't put out their rated cca.
try cables with another car.
are you using 1/0? if trouble persists,it's warranty time for the amp.

i put the meter to it 2 days ago off my yellow top! Actaully yesterday i put in 2 yellow tops to make sure the voltage kept up! still did the same things! the voltage with 1 yellow top battery droped to 13.65volts at the amp before it would cut out! actually that was turning up the volume slowley, so a steady draw which drains it faster than a burp! for a burp i can't get them louder then maybe 125, 130db's before it cuts out!!
i totally give up on these. i dunno what to do! and i'm supposerd to go to toronto for audiothunder next week! good luck!

It's ok for my daily driver but I don't know how good I'll do at a comp if I can't turn the volume more than halfway.

u should have seen how many issues those amps were giving him on the 12v set up. the problem u guys are describing was the primary issue he had as well. I remeber we had his gains low and the volume on his alpine deck could not go higher than 16
