From my understanding (please correct me if I'm wrong)it's a ported box with a different name. I have heard the term "CRX BOX" lots of times, but I still cant see what the differences are to a ported cabinet. If it's just putting the ports on the top of the box, then it's still just a ported box. I really would like to know the difference though. Just so that I'm not sitting in the dark.

It is a ported box. The term CRX box just specifies that is has the subs on top and ports facing back. Usually it uses 4 4" aeroports and subs over the ports, but people have had success changing this design around.

its really just a box that works well in a hatch vehicle. if u put it in the trunk it wont work any better then a regular ported box.

plus u'd have to cut the box in half and flip both halfs sideways for it to do anything. otherwise u gonna hit like 120

ok
so it's a ported box with the ports in a particular direction.

Thanks

it's a special ported box... it's MAIN design was for the CRX in an aim to align the waves coming out of the ports with the wave coming off of the cones.
