hence my retirement... there really isnt a point anymore to compete. I loved this sport when I began, 13 years later I still do, but what is there to fuel the fire when going to finals is not an option just seems like a cheap scam... maybe some of the others remember when you used to win big, even a nice jacket for points champion or the prizes they did for being top dog in Death Match of for being world champion you would get something nice like a 6 foot trophy with your name on it.

but I guess when you spend $200 for finals and no chance to even get a small trophy... why bother. maybe Wayne is giving up... why should he care...all other orgs are now using his measurement system anyways... he doesnt need the drama of DB drag and waste his time..he makes royalties anyways!

just a bad image trying to get new competitors interested in competing on a regular basis when they see somone go to finals and pay 200 bucks just to enter and get nothing out of it for a prize just isnt going to get interest in the sport , or even the sanctioning fees what shop has 1500 bucks to spend on a regional event thats just bogus no wonder the amount of wf competitors is so small then the 3x scamm just to get more money from , i wish that was my bank account all that money was dropping into

i find it funny that all of the complaining about how finals are set up are done by people who have never been to finals........

everyone wants a first place i guess............

arent there trophies for world finals participants? there is a banner that says all US trophies sponsored by Cactus Sound.

Nope. There are trophies for the Regional 1st-3rd. For World Finals we all get a small plaque for participating but the only awards are a World Finals Ring for first place.

You know me I dont care about recieveing trophies. My gripe is that the everyday competitor can compete in the same lanes same brackets as the World Finalists for half of what the World Finalists pay and they get a shot at a trophy.

Realistically do these guys have a shot at 1st through 3rd probably not. Its just the fact that we have to pay double of what they pay for participation as well as had to meet set requirments to get an invite.

When I think of World Finals I think of competing against World Finalist Competitors. If I wanted to compete against the everyday guys and gals I could just go to a sanctioned event. (Which we all know I do alot of).

Wayne should have left WF in NY where I had an indoor venue and full awards to give to all who attended as well as manafacturer support. (No I'm not talking about the Psychos in Buffalo niether) I had a venue up on the boarder around ogdensburg arranged for 2k for the weekend.
