But they are individual cell batteries. Being 8v, they have four cells in each, but if one cell goes bad, it can be removed and replaced with a good one. When they have some of the batteries that need to be scrapped, good ones can be made out of the bad ones, and then resold to people that want them, like me, or cabin owners, or whatever. Costs would be around 400 beans I bet, but they're FOB Calgary, can you imagine what it would cost ya to ship them back east?
I borrowed two for a 3X competition a couple summers back, they worked awesome, but yes, they fill the back of the van pretty good.
And, I had them pull a single cell out of one for me and it's new home is in a 5gal. bucket. I use them exclusively for competitions, after the comp I pull them out again. I use two CAT batteries and then the single 2v train cell on the end.... 14.6v on tap, wired directly to my sub amplifiers, and when I hit them with the 220+ draw that my amps use under full load, the voltage only drops to 13.8 (measured at my amplifiers), even a 300 amp alternator couldn't do that...

Stinger, EFX, and Tsunami all sell the Hawker Energy dry cell. They just put there sticker on it and jackup the price! You can also find them in autopart stores or battery stores under the Oddessey name. In my opinnion they are the best dry cells. Check them out. Just put (Oddessey) in to a search engine. They will pop right up.

Pricey though...
