But me, I was just using them to power two 1200d's, doubling up would be unnecesary.

I would think that locomotive batteries would be pretty ideal for an extreme class vehicle. As said, you'd have to test it and a bank of super-batteries to see which would perform better. Four lokies would be better than a forklift though, as they're designed for cranking diesel locomotive engines, not cycling, so may perform as good as or better than a bank of super batteries.
Recharging, yes, would take longer.

I was gonna buy a NSB-90 but the price shot up a huge amount before I got a chance so I just went for a Kinetik HC-2400.. I also traded my old amp for a SVR80-12 so we'll see how this combination works. I don't know why people buy Optima's. The defective rate is insane.
