FIT SQL build
3 Attachment(s)
I made decision last week to sell my amps, sub, and Headunit for a Sundown 3500D, Sundown SA-12, Kenwood Xcelon Deck and some ______??________ subs. I'm also keeping the kinetic 1400s - one at the engine and the other in the trunk. I also have 0/1 welding wire - positive and negative already ran.
I kept the Hybrid Audio L8, L4, L1proSE's for the front end. They are receiving a custom passive crossover powered by an ARC SE 2150. 3 sheets of Baltic Birch and a full sheet of MDF all in 3/4", should make its way in to the FIT. Looking forward to what Mat Romain and I can accomplish. wish me luck. |
have fun and good luck with the new build!
|
FINALLY!! You should have called it "What happens when an SQ guy and an SPL guy build together, PART 2!", lol
Looking forward to the build man. :) |
I almost a brick when I seen the Carrozzeria for sale.

I was heartbreaking when I removed the Carrozzeria, but the Kenwood is slick deck too. Part2?? I only let Mat destroy other peoples cars :) Louis, she is still going to have the correct SQ characteristics - I'll SEE TO IT. Hopefully with 150db db on tap |
I hope so, but 50 on music!?!?
I did 144.1 with the Fi Q 18 in the minivan and I shouldn't have stayed in, even if I had my earplug. But no worry next time ill use plug and muff. Will you go up to the B-pillar? if you do you will need an engine hoist to get the box in and out... |
itll be a bit louder than 144 on music...im pretty sure....unless julian softs out like usual

I can't be part 2 ^^ If I let Mat finish the box. Tuct tape would be the finishing job :P

man i gotta get off my ass.... i cant let you do two builds to your fit before i get mine done.

150 shouldnt be too hard in your car with the right gear. But I wouldnt expect your front end to get that loud.

The Arc Audio SE 2150 at 150x2 is plenty of power. The steg was just for fun. But it's always nice to know I have 400x2 on tap ready to go :D |

yellow is the loudest color ... hey thats a wicked idea for the fit... dont carpet the box.... put yellow duct tape on it and u'll gain 6 - 7 db almost guarenteed
|

But it wont see 3500rms. That's only for demos with the engine off. Daily the sundown audio SA-12 will see about 1750. If I even crank it that high. |
update...L8's are coming out with a promising set of Dual CDT ES-06 - 4 in total. Thanks for the trade Louis, You'll love them in the doors of the minivan.
|
^ I was wondering what you were going to do to get the midbass under 8" in diameter..
Why go passives though - just to say you did? |
Nope sorry Paul, saving amp space for the big amp. Don't need the active portion. I have my prefered xover points. And eq?? I won finals with 8 bands adjusted down. Simplifying and adding more midbass will help
