almost certain it was above that. Marty and I sat in the shadow playing music pretty hard for 5 minutes or so. Id almost bet money it breaks a 150 on the TL.

spl

Thanks for the info guys. Maybe I was misleading when I explained that I was trying to acheive 150 db. I am building a system more for sound quality, hence the preference for Focal subs and sealed boxes due to space constraints. However, I am used to a volume level consistent with about 150db. Old system had 6 twelves (JL12W6s). Easily hit 150db with music. However, no cargo space what so ever. So now I'm growing older and deafer, again with space constraints in the vehicle, I was hoping someone could direct me the right way. I don't get to keep multiple vehicles anymore, so I can't go all out in one of them. Yes I could pick different subs, but can I get more spl and sound quality out of a different sub without requiring a substantially large box? The only other suggestions so far was a pair of 13w7's in a sealed box.

I would say do a couple or 3 33V2's - put some good clean power to them that is more than you need, that way you can get on it when you want.

Depending on your music tastes a Epicenter may be in order too..
