if you take a look thats what my box looks like as we speak. works great with the subs in my pathfinder. problem is i sold the pathfinder and bought a 90 civic hatchback. should i keep the box or should i build a new one? will my box be any good in the civic? if i build a new one what should it look like?

with my current box i hit 145.2 (in the pathfinder)

also where abouts should my box be in the hatch in comparison to the hatch. i found it worked best in the patfinder about 6-8 inches away from the hatch. any help from somebody who knows these cars or just any help would be greatly appreciated

IMO I was gonna suggest facin up but u have the amp and cap mounted on the back and its sort of sloped. Friend of mine has a civic hatch and had his facing up worked great. Also it was right against the back of the hatch. Just my two cents. (his car was the one to damage my hearing lol)

well as it stands i can move the cap/amp. thats not a big deal but yea the back is sloped. i tried that already but found it to be louder with the subs sittin right up against the door. thats why im thinkin of buildin another box. any other suggestions?

Thats usually my solution if its not loud enough build a new box lol Also by buildin a new one u can choose w/e lay out u want. So now basically u wanna know what style is loudest for ur car if ur gonna build a new box

You know what dude, I've built like 2 or 3 boxes for people on this forum and none of them have hit under 145.

If you want to buy materials I will build you a box that will pound much harder than that one.

Everything depends on how much space I can use though...PM me if your interested.

Firing the subs towards the roof will get you the best results in that car.

I built a few of those cars back in the day.

is this for an suv? in the suv ceiling firing is the best idea, altought its one of the good ones. firing back is not the loudest either. the way i position my box (and i've noticed its loudest in most hatch cars) is not something u would do when u use it for daily driving. SO just fire it up b/c u probably dont compete much in spl. if u want pure spl there is another position for a box to make it even louder in the hatch.
