Are HIFONICS amps any good

i am looking to get two identical amps around 500-600rms each...

i was looking at HIFONICS on ebay i saw a few shows some guys were pounding orion H2's with them

but i had no experiance with them ? anyone know if they are good amps and provide the power they claim to have ?

for my 9500 series 12in mtx

the plan is to run amp per voice coil.

Hifonics are a good amp "for the price". They run well and I've never had one go into protect, even on hot summer days. But the general concensus is they definitely do not put out their advertised power. Your best bet is to wait and find a better quality, used amp for a good price. There are always decent amps changing hands on this site.

i`m a hifonics guy myself but that statement is a little bold. i did alot of research on hifonics gear and they were far from perfect. many birth sheets were a few hundred watts shy of they`re proclaimed "rms". in making a recommendation of a brand you have to be at least a little realistic.

every amp has its share of issues.

most of the amps they got are all 1000rms at 10hm 500rms at 2

then some amps are 1000rms at 1ohm 750at 2ohms and 350at 4ohms

for 200$ 10hm stable just doesnt sound right...but they are somewhat good even if they are not 500rms but 350 for 200$ its still good i guess..

i sell car audio localy i dont have an account with hifonics tho.

i'll ask that guy how much he can get them for

well, I'm not sure about actual power output as I've never measured it, but mine's been running at 1 ohm for 1.5 years now, and gets stupid loud...all for under 300.00 cdn off ebay.
