How do you figure that I am misguided? Because I asked the manufacturer of my subs for what they recommend for an spl enclosure?
I AM building my own box...and I DO have my own meter! Like I said, I did my research and I took what I liked and what I thought works. I didn't get anyone to build my for me. So wtf do you mean get my own skills? You don't even know me.
You should know the facts before you start to dispense useless information that makes no sense at all. Did you even read the whole thread?

so why not put all the skills and research into a box that would break 150?
there is a guy here with a civic hatch, runs two mtx 10's and some earthquake amps doing 152's. doesnt seem that hard to be honest. and from the way you talk you seem to know ALOT more then him, maybe it just seems that way tho.
how would manufacturer of your subs know anything about spl enclosure that would work in your car? they really dont, it's up to you to find what the enclosure is. an spl enclosure depends on maaaaaany other things other than the subs u use.

How do you know I haven't done that already? Perhaps my box will break 150? Do you know for sure that it won't? I wasn't on here asking how to get louder...I was on this thread because I was giving advice, I was stating how I gained spl. This thread wasn't about me to begin with. All I said was that at the last show,I hit 144...I never siad what I'm at now. Maybe I am at 152?

so u highjacked some guy's thread and now you are getting pissed i called you misguided?
go ask orion for more boxes, ask them for one for me too while you are at it. see if they give you 2 identical boxes for 2 different cars. blind leading the blind = misguided.

just type in spl competition and goto part 3 (not enouugh posts for urls)
around 5:25 in there is a smart car with one hcca 15.2 which hit 150.3 db

I'm not pissed off at all, you're the one that's pissed off.
I don't know why you feel like you have to belittle someone because you think you know more than everyone else. Perhaps you think that you are a "professional" at this? So you make a username that impies that you are the 'all powerful master of canadiancaraudio.com'

I'm gonna sit here and waste countless hours of trial and error when they already have half the work done for me. I'm sure they did a few calculations here and there before they just decided to build a sub. You are telling my that the blind is leading the blind, but then you contradict yourself because you imply that they know nothing about what they are in business for. Sure buddy...if you say so.
Sure they won't be able to tell me what's perfect for my car, and even if they could...I wouldn't want to know. Most of the fun in spl is to figure out on your own. It's no different than racing your car...you build it yourself and you put it to the test. So that you can be proud of it.
So what am I at right now? I'm higher than I was before, not crazy higher. But it's a respectable higher for me. How much? Well, it changes everytime I play around with it. Sometimes more, sometimes less. So I'm gonna keep playing around with it until I get it to where I want it.
