Hell, my first year with the Civic I hit a 160 on the OLD meter and got my a$$ handed to me at the Finals, but I didn't give up... I just kept tuning and trying different things until I found the right combination. Every year I'd move up a couple of dB and get a bit louder until I hit what I hit last year.

If I had given up when I came in second from last at the Finals in 2000, I wouldn't have gotten to where I am (which isn't very far - lol) now.

First or last, keep working on it and take a look at what everyone is running at each event you go to. You'll get some ideas and try different things and next thing you know, you'll be hitting those numbers! But, it doesn't happen overnight, you have to be patient...
Heh... I don't mean I literally give up Moe. I love the competitions!

I'm still very happy with how I've done this year. Hell, this is my first year competing and I'm going in to WF's ranked 4th. That's not too bad of a start.

I just had thoughts of maybe competing for 1st at finals, but now it looks like I will be nowhere close to it.

It's a bit discouraging but I'm still going to be there!

Update

OK.. I just read a post over on TP that said some guy in a Hummer drove off with the mic still in his truck. So the next few scores after that were all messed up.

Meaning Tim's 156.4 is probably a bogus number.

(some other guy with 2 10's and a RF 1501 did a 156 also)

Fewf.. time for me to get back to work!!

yes it would. I have had many questions on that score in stock 1. He has the same equipment as last year smae car so on. I seems like they used the old mic the second time istead of the sensor. My reasoning is that he did the exact same number at last years finals 152.2. that is ok though i am getting closer as we speak.
