I have one 12W7 in my SUV gettin 850W RMS in a high ouput box, and couldn't imagine having anymore bass. It is incredibly tight and is matched perfectly with my Focal components for a nice SQ system with awesome SPL.

u want nice bass, the w7 will do it with the proper power no problem. as far as spl goes, its not really an spl sub by any means.

I so wanted to get a W7 but instead have a 10" W6v2 and love that one. Have a custom made ported box for it and the JL 500/1 amp. Killer combo.

Yuli nailed it, great sub, exceptional performer. In the SPL arena though, it gets it butt handed to it. Posted in the SPL forum ,you would be better channeling your $ into a proven performer for that task. cough DD cough...

oh ok so then its more of a great sound quality sub.. maybe you guys can help me figure this out.. Im doing a system for this summer, but i want it to be louder than the average person, (basically it sounds louder Outside the car). Some cars have passed by my street and I could have felt the vibrations from the bass, even sett of my carr alarm. What would that be classified as, SQ or SPL?

SQ is Sound Quality, and SPL is Sound Pressure Level. I can't really recommend a SPL sub, not in that arena (but maybe someday )

a SPL sub is really just for bass right, you cant use it for everyday listeniing because its too much / too deep?
