Anyone ever heard of this GM Astro? it has 8-12' orions in bandpass wall, this thing would make the Toys r us sign wobble while we were a 50 feet away.

about 2000 or so was the last time i saw it.

also had seen this purple civic with 8 15's in a v.

always wish i had some money to spend on a db car...i still have the design to put 24 15's (kicker square) in a w box that would have fit in a volks fox, not saying it would have been able to move with all that weight, but i wish i could have built that.

i was involved in sound when gates won and just after when that green astro with, if i remember correctly, 12 -12's won with a new record was like in the 170's at the time.

has db drag racing changed so much since then?

yes, i will try to get to some this summer, (excuse coming) being doing lots of reno's at home last few years.
Sucks about the guy if true. I'll try to find out since i went to school with his nephew.
that is what i liked about a bass truck, at the time there was also the rockford full size van. you could sit in it, and watch a movie and still sound decent (no not sq), and then rattle your insides, but wasnt about being the highest spl.

i must be getting old if i find some of these numbers just insane, I could not see myself anything more than 2 12's and even then, i have a feeling it will be too much for most of the time...but so miss having some bass in my car...cant wait for dec. so i get to install all my new gear.

unless they rebuilt it, i dont think this is them, the van was white, and the sub box was behind the sliding door. he has two seats in the back , was crazy..this was from Chomedey laval.
