Kicker SOlo X
#22
Im not blind nor stupid, if you are gonna go out and buy a sub for a grand...you should go out and put 500 watts to it... im being sarcastic by the way. Why in the f**k would you get a solo-x and not run 2500 to it daily...if you are not going to then dont buy a solo-x. Buy a clarion or mtx or some other s**t like that.
Not many subs can take that much power on a true daily basis playing a variety of music.

Thnx for others backing me up. And as for running 2500 to it daily thats what they are rated at 2500 rms on the 10 and twelve. people that own DD...please tell me what sub you have and what you are running on it daily. Do you have a 9900 series and have 500 watts to it? no you dont.

if we were to say nothing when we dont have anything nice to say then this thread would not exist.
buddy, go spend a grand and get solo x, then go spend another grand and get a 2k watt amp. problem solved. (well u will actually encounter many other problems once you do that but thats a whole new story).
solo x is ok. its madly over priced but its an above average product. would i buy one just for daily? probably not.
yes, stef's crazy team did do 158 with solo x's but i bet u its 99% the box and the work done to the car, im pretty sure they would hit over 156 with some pyle subs given they hold for 3 seconds. lets all go get pyle now.

If you would read his post it says that he has it set up for daily and has them in a more orientated SQ box with only 500rms each lol and its NOT set up for spl so a 141 is very respectable for daily, as for peoples comments on the 2500 on a asolox daily, its not like he has to have the gain at full, its just nice to have extra power then not enough, and also if you were gonna go solo x and a 2500 watt amp like yuli said there more to it then just putting those in and off you go, there are alternator issuses you will need to be running a strong current constantly and also at least one or tqo runs of 0awg cause 4awg will not cut it, then there are box issues, but it all depends on where you what to go with this set up, decide first then before buying or installing make sure you have everything else you will need before putting it in.....my two cents
