your talking bout the "street bass" box size right? i say go for it. whatever you can fit in your jimmy. i mean you could take the other box and shorten it a little but if you dont feel right about doing that then thats fine. it'l still kick *** either way

i will but the difference will be so small that unless you put the boxes side by side then you wont notice it.

in a sealed box it takes more power to get the sub to Xmax (the max lengh of its suspension), and if you put alot of power to it for long perieds of time it'l heat up alot more. it puts alot of strain on the sub.

plus ported boxes are a lot louder then a sealed box. u can gain an easy 3-5 dbs in a ported box.

your amp should have one on it i havent seen many amps under 500 watts RMS that have it unless they are older amps

Alrighty.... So if i get this big amp basically i wouldnt even need to turn it up cuz tha sub wouldnt need that much power.... I dont know how to really calculate a ported box...

well if the amp is 900 watts per channel no you wouldnt. the sub is 750 RMS watts. with that amp power wont be a problem at all

what do you want to know about calculating a ported box?
