what your seats are made out of makes no diffrence whatsoever. Unless you have Oak seats! then your spl increases by about 8%. Also you have to have a horizontal air flow of 56knots through the pasenger window to the dash of the vehcile!

Well I know for a fact that there is an audible difference in the way a stereo SOUNDS and the way that the higher frequencies reflect off of leather. I actually went from leather to cloth and it actually cut the harshness of the tweets down, so it would be interesting to test and see if and how much of a difference it makes...

The shape and position are much more important then fabric when it comes to SPL.

It may or may not be louder. But I realy enjoy the feel durring my drive every day. personaly I'd say there an help but hey I'm SQ! :D

I think someone should do some testing.

I still think that leather will be louder.
