Well I know for a fact that there is an audible difference in the way a stereo SOUNDS and the way that the higher frequencies reflect off of leather. I actually went from leather to cloth and it actually cut the harshness of the tweets down, so it would be interesting to test and see if and how much of a difference it makes...

The shape and position are much more important then fabric when it comes to SPL.

It may or may not be louder. But I realy enjoy the feel durring my drive every day. personaly I'd say there an help but hey I'm SQ!
