My deck has a built in 8v. line driver and we measured a noticable difference. I had been running Alpine before but with this new deck, I jumped almost 3db! I'm sold on line drivers. It also has 40 sec. anti-skip, so it's awesome for SPL.

Very true, even in SS and extreme you may not need a line driver, it is all dependent on the what the amps like for input, example, RF bd1500's like 4 to 4.5 volts in and will run 80 ac volts out clean, Mojo's however like less input and put out quite a bit more ac voltage. Yuli nailed it, it depends on your amp, we tried one and lost ALOT of pressure. Later, Smitty

You honestly gained almost 3dB with a line driver? Damn...where can I get one?

I once saw some dude crank his line driver and jump from a 143 to a 160!

It actually happened.

ok comon, u dont actually thing he wen tup 20 db's from having a line driver do u?

and if u gain 3db's by adding one then u are doing something seriously wrong, i would check and makesure your deck settings are all correct.

lol.. and i saw a guy attach the line driver to the output on the amps instead of the input., and the signal got reversed, and somehow doubled inside the amplifier, and put twice as much power. his score went from a 150 to a 165!!!! WOW!
