More Newbie ?'s OHMS Explanations Please
Can someone please tell me what can and cant be done. i.e can you run 1 amp bridged on 2 4ohm drivers....how far can you go and what equals what. do you have to run 1 amp per sub or can you run 1 amp on 2 or more, what do the load or ohm ratings become....i dont quite understand how this works...i read specs on amps and subs but dont quite understand what means what. any help for this newbie would be great...thx.

Check out this link:
Rockford Fosgate® - Woofer WiringWizard
What you need to know is that depending on how you wire your subwoofers, your final impendance in ohms will varie. Amps are built to take different impendances. Some will output their max power at 4ohms and others require 1ohm to function at full power. One isnt better then the other, it depends on your application.
The link above will let you experiment and see how they work together.
