N130Gv2's 92 Grand Marquis build log

So I finally got the car home. I think I'm going to attempt a 6th order bandpass out the trunk of this puppy first. If that doesn't get me where I want it'll be on to either a wall or NW in the rear seat area. Not sure yet, hoping the 6th order will be good enough.

Goal is a well rounded ground pounder, 139.9 or 49.9 bassracer and to break 150. This is going to be fun. It's all my own to do whatever I like. Wifee gets the van back.

lol, maybe now I will be able to post on your thread. Not sure how the 6th is going to work out, but TF Ones aren't made for sealed applications so a 4th order was pretty much out. I'm going to try a 6th first. If that doesn't do it for me, the box(s) are going in the back seat area, maybe even a wall...

Time will tell.

Cool crab! How much power were you getting out of them Pyle monos? What frequency did you tune it to?

Just because a subwoofer isn't designed for a sealed application, doesn't mean it wont do well in one....

Each Pyle monoblock was clamped at 254 watts, as at that time I didnt realize they would be stable below 1 ohm, so a 150db with 508 watts tuning was over 60hz can't remember exact frequency but that will ballpark it for you to start.

Wow, thats amazing. 150 on 500 watts... I'm going to try a 6th first. If that doesn't work out, I'll probably go right to a wall.
