So the other night my wife comes out of the blue and says to me....I think we should put a wall in my car (a 1983 chevette). I got an erection and said...OK.

So i'm tossing ideas through my head now at this point. I have done several wall aplications over the years, all with ok results. I haven't done a slot port in one, all with circular ports.

The plan for her car is 2 15's (not sure what brand) and a nice sized port aprox 24" high x 9" wide. I am thinking of doing a very flared port mouth on both ends of the port. It will have a lip with a 3 to 4" curve as illustrated in my prototype (man I sound like a nerd)

I did this using kerfs. Making 1/8" cuts every 1/2" and bending the MDF and applying fiberglass for strength.

The port itself will be removable for tuning.

Just curious if anybody has any input towards my idea? Any thoughts on how well it should work compared to a straight forward vent with a 1/2" roundover.

Any info would be great.

Adam
