Be sure to hit the sono tube with some fiberglass mat (.75 oz should be good). Give it some rigidity

Yeee sounds good. It doesn't need a load of layers. 2 should do the trick. I just know you wont want that piece flexing inside the enclosure and giving you a ton of port noise

ive never fiberglassed my sonotubes and never had a problem the only time i use fiberglass is to seal them to the board they are attached to

How big was it? This is 12.5" which is huge. It will flex. Might not see it, but you'll hear it.

I had this issue with an 8.5" one once. Anything below 45hz made it flex and sounded shitty

It's not going inside the box... there is only a 3" flare inside the enclosure, the rest is outside. :smilie_da Will still be solid non-the-less, no worries. ;)

his port is an external port id just brush some resin over it if anything

im using a 10" with my 18 btl no problems at all..
