In North America we have a car called the CRX, and it is very easy to get loud in the dtreet classes, so easy in fact that they have an SPL box called the CRX box that is guaranteed to be pretty loud with very little testing (I got up to 147.9 with a pair of MTX MXS1204's off a MTX T8100D with stock charging system (including 6 year old factory battery)). Well in Europe the CRX came with a back seat which makes it impossible to use the same configuration. Luckily for them they have the Panda, which is similar in concept, except the box is called the 'Panda Box' and it is similar to Rob V.O.'s setup if I am not mistaken.
Very close actually... but not 100%.

In Europe they use the Panda not only because their CRX has a back seat, but also just because the Panda is a better vehicle for spl. It has a much higher resonant frequency.

I don't believe Rob has ever run a box that is similar to a Panda box though.

It's just leaving though... it'll take about 3 weeks to get here I'm told.

btw... to everyone else, the reason this picture is significant is because this Panda is on it's way to Canada

(our first ever I believe)

I didn't know that Matt Damon competed in SPL??? I believe that buying a panda is the easy way out. There are North American cars that hold world records. It takes a lot of time, dedication and hard work. Hopefully you know how to make the panda loud ... or does it come with directions for that as well.

Yeah... buying a Panda is a hell of a lot easier than buying a CRX

And I don't believe there are any North American cars that hold street records in dbDrags...

It doesn't come with directions for getting loud... but knowing the right people sure does help.

153.6 eh? ... The Panda is just a starting point. It doesn't guarantee success.

Btw... I noticed in your sig that you're looking to reach 150+ with 1 12" and you're wondering if it can be done?

Wonder no more... I did 150.4 last weekend at SVR.

Well then... your first purchase should be a meter instead of any other equipment.

It helps a hell of a lot more than any sub or amp!
