I never talked to Peter...

I will consider myself the coward though ... the one who asked you straight out down at SVR if you would rerun to back your number up because of the mic change.

I tried to save you the grief in doing so. Last year in Ontario, it happened a couple of times and the talk continued for weeks. The talk started down in the US so I gave you that chance to put an end to it.

People are asking how you went from a 144 to a 150+ . At the same time, people know that the mic went funny on Martine. This only leads people to wonder. The Petawawa show would have helped you quickly end the wonder, but unfortunately, you didn't make it.

Don't let it bother you, just keep working hard and get louder. It is what all competitors are out to do. If I was a judge at SVR, you would have been going back on the mic when it was changed. Not to question your number, but to be sure that all competitors were judged equally.

Good luck with the panda!! Hopefully with your sources, you will do well! [/QB]</font>
If you're the one who was talkin to Peter, and you've come out, then you aren't a coward.

I honestly don't remember being asked to go for another run down at SVR. I would have gladly! Actually.. I don't even know who you are (sorry!).. but you were down at SVR though?

I can easily explain the jump in score from the 144 on my first run to the 150.4 on my last run.

The first run was done with a box that had everything firing upwards. Sub up, 6" port up. And, needless to say, it sucked!

Fortunately I had brought the box I was using last season. (which I did a 49.4 with last year) So I got some 4" ports, but they weren't the right length. I used them anyways and got the 148.x Saturday afternoon.

The score was still .2 down from where I needed to be, so I went back to the hotel and did some work on the box. I cut 2" off the port to make them the right length and resined the box. (hehe, the thing sat on my front seat over night while the resin dried, I'm just glad none of it got on my seats!!)

I arrived at the show early on Sunday and had my car on the charger righ up until the time I had to run.

I went up, burped, and nearly crapped my pants because it was the first time in the 150 range. I wasn't that far off last year though, so I'm not sure why everyone is surprised.

Gaining .6 over the winter isn't anything to be proud of!

There were 2 3x judges down at the show. One being Jeff Fronk, the other being Moe Sab.

After the screwy number for Martine there was some discussion about me running again but they decided that the mic DID work properly for me. (if you check all the 'messed up' mic scores, they're all the exact same number... 156.x)

anyways... I'm gonna go home tonight and put the car on a Termlab so people can stop this

Maybe Peters wife and Marlena can do some stock classes

I have been working with the organizations to help support SPL in Ontario. I will be working towards producing shows so that the competitors have the chance to reach their goals and enjoy car audio competition. RULES will be followed!! I don't care if they are single point events or not... Ontario doesn't need to be looked down upon as cheaters. I will make the shows fun , I will be fair but I will not tolerate BS! I have read different threads that lean towards cheating, I know everyone to joke about things so I don't take it seriously, but please realize... this site is available worldwide!

Thats the attitude to have...

No IASCA officials read this site [/QB]</font>
heh.. I know they do!!

I wouldn't be proud of having to do it that way but I'm not stepping up to Avd-NW. Like I said, at the very worst I would sit out until next season.

I just know that rules have been bent, or exceptions made, in the past.

I'll be 100% honest with Moe about everything and we can discuss it like adults.

I've got nothing to hide, and it's his job to enforce rules. We'll figure it out and still be friends no matter what happens

WOW ....

Jordy.... I have np with what happened at SVR. I don't care if you hit a 145, 150, 155 who cares. Talks happen when a) somebody's number changes so much and they are not at the show and know why it did. b) when a mic goes faulty. I personnaly would have asked if I could go up again to save the grief. If my car hit a number that I have never seen and then a mic is in question, I want to know for myself if i truley hit that number. I wouldnt want to brag about a number that I only hit once.

And NO!!! Last year in Oshawa, when Martine broke the mic...lol. it maxed at 152! I will let Moe know that when I talk to him. And it started at approx. 150+.

Heh... I totally understand where you're coming from.

I'm not going to name any names because the last thing I want is to start a fight. I'll just say that it's been done it the past and it was readily accepted.

The whole reason I am starting up 2loud4you.ca is to help out SPL competitors in Canada.

As I said before though, if it's possible I will do it. If it's not, I won't.

I've got nothing to hide. I've never tried to play it off like 2l4you isn't my company, and I'm not just showing up with the Panda. Everything is 100% transparent. If anyone has any questions about how I'm doing things they can feel free to ask. If it's stuff I can't/won't discuss on the board I'll gladly do it in PM or over the phone.

Trust me... I'm not one of those guys trying to cheat his way to a world title. You say that you talked with me at SVR. I'm not sure how long it was that we talked but next time please introduce yourself. I'm sure you'll see in no time that I'm just about getting Canada louder!

Hehe... I actually didn't even know the mic had broken for Martine until that evening when we went out for dinner. They mentioned it and the idea of a re-run didn't even cross my mind. Then Moe mentioned it and I THINK I even offered to go again. (I could be mistaken though, a lot of stuff happened that weekend)

Martine got a 152 on a broken mic? HRm, my appologies then. I thought they had all done a 156.5 &lt;-- just checked it on the IASCA page.

I think that an exception can be made because of your business not really being up and running properly.

The exceptions in the past were as follows... if anyone complains, you will have to be bumped. Do you really want to work hard all year and show up at finals and risk being bumped? That would suck.

I believe that you won't have a problem this year but if that online shop of yours starts happening strong ... be prepared. Unfortunatly prostock isnt in this year. Good luck with the Panda, the business and your goals. I am sure that it will all work out.

lol... I am sure that Martine would have loved to see it on the IASCA page. Martine let Moe know right away each time that it wasnt her number so that the issue could be fixed prior to being posted on IASCA.

It sure was funny at SVR when Moe yelled out Martines 156.... Vernon and Alfaro probably jumped a bit.

Thanks... I appreciate it.

Believe me, I don't want to step on anyone's toes.

We'll see how it plays out though. I'm sure people on the forum will know what happens with my 'stock' status as soon as I do!

btw, locking this now because it's gotten WAAAAY off track! ... if anyone has any other questions accusations for me please feel free to open another post or send me a PM
