I wonder how many senior judges have seen a TF1. Nothing against you Don in case you're a senior judge, I'm just curious.

Its basically a modded DD/Audioque sub, sooo im sure most of the senior judges have handled/seen them, and know this is a comp grade.

Really? I thought Yuli made them at the TF Factory.

Makes sense though, guess I should have thought about that. Thanks Wayne, you're the bestest.

I thought they resembled the AQ's, but I had no idea they were considered competition grade. DD yeah, but I didn't know AQ HDC's qualified. Not bashing their stuff, I just didn't think they as a company were looking to be competitor class stuff.

aq and dd are both owned by the same family. Senior judges have had hands on inspection of the TF One.

I don't see how a "competition" sub should have any bearing in Street Stock. If anything the person running competition subs in street stock would not be getting full potential out of them anyway with the power restrictions. Therefore are at a loss to people giving their subs rated power.

Just my .02 but I say they should throw out the competition grade sub crap... keep it all based on power limits.

I couldn't agree with you more paul^^

In fact I think it would hinder in some cases where the spl isn't fully reached until there potential is reached(and 2000wrms to more then 2 subs wouldn't do it)
BUT, its the head judge for DB that made it this way, so all the other judges ahve to live by it.

would it be possible for you to ask that question to the senior judge and post his reply.
With out knowing what standards this is based on how is someone to be sure all rules are being followed.... There has to be something in writing somewhere that they are basing this off of

Maybe the power handling of the subwoofer plays a role? Or maybe some other characteristic(s).
