however im pretty sure that he feels better then the guys that run IASCA! Now I would drive to dB Drag if it were in KC or even in Las Vegas becuase theat is where all of the loudest vehicles are and that is where I want to win.

To me IASCA is like the summer league of SPL competition people go becuase there is nothing else.

Bottom line is IASCA should keep finals where their competitor base is (be it in the east, west, mid-west or where ever). It only makes sense. If I sell ice cream im going to Arizona or Florida not Alaska.

Thats my 2 cents.

x2 I feel that the competition is alot stiffer and it's more rewarding to win (from an db drag spl standpoint) There is always going to be loudest in the world. But I always ask which Format? i'm not trying to be disrespectfull to other organizations. It just depends what format people like..

For us driving to Cleveland was 37hrs one way (timed on the truck). Driving that far to take a 5th? I was going to leave the trophie there! But We took it home to look at because I know I don't want another 5th. Now was it worth driving that far? Not for 5th, But for 1st it would of You are only going to get the dihards in any WF Formats. Because that what world finls is! Just the diehards. BTW we budget 2,000 in gas each season to go to WF. Towing 12,000lbs isn't cheep. To bad we all didn't live in the mid west. We wouldn't be having this conversation! LOL

dB Drag was pretty huge in Nashville, and most those people and more showed up to Cleveland.

I think when you have a solid and competitive format, the people will go regardless.

I think what is important for all these organizations now is to pick a location and stick with it! It doesn't even have to be unified, but a fair, easily accessible and fun environment location are required.

Build it and they will come!

Just for the record. I think that IASCA had nearly 100 cars in attendance. My trip cost my wife and I about $800. Thats all the gas, food, hotel, entry fees, and a little shopping. Yes I could have gone to my local trophie shop and picked up anoth 7ft trophy, but I couldn't call my self a world champ (I dont actully call myself that but you get the idea)!

IASCA is fun for me. I consider myself a dedicated member and will continue to compete in the future.

I think Prolifik should wake up a smell the roses! Is IASCA not populat out west...blah...blah...

Why do we go to finals? Because we want to go and be judged against the best cars in the world, SQ or SPL. It doesn't matter if its 100km or 10,000 km. You wine and sniffle about costs, Do you know actually what its costs? I packed 3 guys in my car, drove from Kelowna to Calgary, Calgary to Winnipeg, then south to Kanas. It costs a total in gas and hotel $527.82. Split between 3 guys, it was cheap!

You say you go to shows in Canada and the USA, why not load your car up with 4 guys, drive the measly 12 hours and create some excitment in your area. I would be a cheap and awesome road trip.

By the way USACi competitors made up 1/2 of the SQ competitors this year. This means the unified finals worked out good for both organizations.

Pat was right about the hurricanes effecting the number of competitors greatly...on the USACi side as well.

Yoda said it best " Do or Do not ". I guess as long as you wine, you will never be a champion...maybe my words are harsh, but maybe look at yourself before bash the organizations who at trying to make the industry better and create exitement.

I would love to sit down with you and have a few beers, on me, to share opinions of the industry. CES or when ever...yes your post pissed me off a little, Moe seems to be your friend. Are you not going to support him and his efforts? I have my own views about IASCA, but I entered and supported IASCA this year because of Moe. And I'm alot farther away than you.

Justin might only had a less than a dozen people in his class, but he did it! He went there, spent the money and time, and IS a world champion! It does matter if there 100 or 10 competitors, its quality of competitors that counts.

Cheers...
