It seems that this type of thing is a joke to some of you guys but if you'd been to CES this year & seen the Alpine booth there's a subwoofer that strikes a resemblance to this item.
I have seen Alpine prototype equipment for sale on eBay before so I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss this product as a "joke".

 

the 1st time that sub came out in that enlosure was at CES last year

That sub and enclosure combo has been on e-bay for a good 3 years now, i have never figured out how it could actually be louder than a slot ported box, but hey, those kids that buy sony may like it??
