I think I'll get some and see how much louder they are then 2 9917's.

Supposedly same power, they are .7db higher compared to the 99 series..

But by all means spend the couple grand and test them!!

DD's site says starting at the low low price of 5000bucks

I heard that some guys were gaining 0.2 up to 2.4 dbs. Depending on the install and if you tune up the box to compensate for the dissplacement. Either way you look at it a gain is a gain.
