Question

Ok...So I go out and buy 4 10" subs thinking I'll be in Street C...WRONG!!Turns out to be in that i'd need two more 10's....

Now...I have a couple options open to me here...

A:Go Street Max 3-4.Rob says I'll get my *** handed to me...yes or no?

B:Go SS 3-4.Rob has same thoughts....Yes or no?

C:Run a Street A setup again and have 2 extra subs.I sort of like this idea but would also like to advance a little too.

D:Go Street B and have one extra sub.Once again, Rob thinks *** in doggy bag time...Yes or no??

E:Trade the 10's in again for 12's and go Street C.Is a thought, but this trading subs in over and over is annoying..

So I am open to your thoughts and ideas.Maybe there's an angle that I'm not looking at.Do you think Rob is pretty acurate with his thoughts. Not to question him, rather to get more than one look on it...

Thanks for any input you might have...

you would be automatically palced in that class... you have to much gear for street B, and you can really pick if you want street max 3-4, or street C. also depends on your box. if is in your trunk then u are palced in street C, although you may have less equip then required, or noted. that was a big misprint in the dbdrag rules in 2004

Yeah, realistically the rules for all street classes should be stated:

Street A 1 12" or smaller sub, or 2 10" or smaller subs.

Street B 2 12" or smaller subs, 3 10" or smaller subs, etc, etc, etc.

If you actually had to have exactly the amount of equipmernt as per limits, than a lot of competitors would be left out, liek those with single 10's, or 4 10's like you stated.

Aron in the 2004 rules they didnt have strickt guide lines as to the number of subs/amps/batteries u have to have to be in a street class. in 2004 your class could be derived based on ANY of the stereo components and their quantity.

for example, if u have 1 10 and one amp BUT u have 2 batteries u would be placed in street C b/c thats the street class that allows for an extra battery. in the past years with a set up like that u would be put in no wall.

also if u have only one amp and one battery but 4 10's u would be placed in street C b/c that is the class that allows for more than 2 12's or 3 10's.

now the rules do not detemrine what class u are in by looking at only the number/size of subs, or only the amps or only the batteries. now it can be ANY of those components that that determine what class u are in.

the benefit of this is now u can have an extra battery and still be in street. or have an extra amp and still be in street. this is better than being bumped to super street classes.

You can run an extra battery in Street C?

Thanks for explaing that all guys...do appreciate getting that cleared up...

I was just about to do a Rob VO on a friends suggestion....go trade in 2 of the 10's for 12's and toss back and forth between A and B....but I'd rather stick with pretty much one class...

Thanks guys again....and any more info about street c would be appreciated as well.....

Like Yuli said all you need to get into street C is 2 batteries. Say an extra CAT battery in the trunk. Maybe you should look at 2-15s again. I still have my 2 red ones you herd at BPs, that I have no real use for. If I still have them this summer we should give them a try. Remember street C doesn't have as many competitors, a score like 145db or louder should get you first place at any show in the west. It worked for me last year.

Dang it... a few of us were gonna pile into Street C for points chasers.

Maybe this will soon be the most popular street class!

*Edit*
I'm gonna kick Martin's *** for real this time! No class swapping!
