For the record about Sundown!

First I know some of you guys are true SPL'ers and have had a hard time with the information given about the Sundown products.

For the record I have been forwarding power ratings and information provided from Jacob at Sundown or there site. I have in no way inflated the ratings. I was reading on another forum about myself being an *** about this whole thing and get defensive about the products. Maybe so and as I was just passing info on about the gear I should have not got defensive over it as I know some of you are professional competitors.

Yes I have invested interest in the company. And if people do have information dis-crediting the ratings or information please pass it along to me so I can ask Jacob about this. Please provide true test information so we can pass on the proper results and come to a conclusion.

I was in no way trying to get people pissed off at me over this. I have zero issues with anyone and wish to continue to be a part of the community and hope that Sundown can aswell.

Thanks guys

Cheers

And some of the ratings that have been posted are done by people who do it for a living; can't say I see where all the hatred is coming from.

I know but its not intentional and I just want to keep the peace in here man. I was getting jumped on over the product when I was asked info and I published it I was basically called every name in the book and the product was slammed as some did not believe the numbers. And thats fine if they don't just show me otherwise and I can address them straight away. And not let a product I am promoting be the subject of every joke. Its not a matter of saying sorry for everything I just hate to have people pissed at me for mis-communication as I am a person that likes to help others and deal with issues in the open.

You will notice my original post never had the word sorry in it, it was more of a statment and a solution to keep things on the level.

And thank you. This is true and one of the things I can not understand either.

OK please provide me with the info that this has been proven so I can present it to Jacob please. I will also forward this thread to Jacob. As I believe the people he has to do testing are reputible and would not over inflate numbers to satisfy the masses. Why don't I test one, because to be honest I do not have a steady 200-300amp power supply(bench type not in car) and plus two RMS meters and a resistor bank for load to do so. So if you know someone in the Southwestern Ontario area that does please let me know and i will visit them and run the tests no problems.

thanks

What numbers are inflated? All numbers were tested under the listed conditions by third parties who do not work for me:

http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7116
* SAZ-1500D at regular car voltage testing.

http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7117
* SAZ-1500D at high car voltage. Sean swapped out a pair of Memphis 4kws for four of the SAZ-1500Ds... why? Because the four 1500Ds did more power in his setup.

http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7900
* SAZ-3000D at high car voltage. Same install as the previous link for testing. Regular car voltage testing is pending since I have not been able to get in touch with Loyd Lowry to replicate the test setup for the 1500D testing.

If you have any questions about the setups just let me know.

Dave Mackinnon used to test amps, not sure if he still does. He'd be a good person to talk to, he is very reputable, he used to do all of the amp power tests for PAS. Last time I heard he was in Burlington, ON.
