Talking running at 2 ohms will it make a difference

Ok this is for all you pros out there.
Here is the question.
Will a 2 ohm stable amplifier run under that rating if it's for highs.
Example what if i run my front end all over 100hz at 1 ohm.
or does it matter what frequency it is..
I understand that running my amp that is 2 ohms stable for my subs under 2 ohms is not recomended.
All I wanted to know if it's ok to run mids or highs at a lower impediance.

Let me know.

Well on some amps your right you can run at 1ohm stereo but only at 2 ohm mono, so you should be able to, what amp are you using

I have 3 sets of 5.14 speakers all are 4 ohms so taking them down to 1 ohm.
My car is a 4 door so all doors have a 5.14 plus tweeters.
The amps that I have are all stable at 2 ohms all hifonics vii and hifonics viii.

the amp will see a 1.33 ohm load..... it should handle it but Id be carefull with the gain **** to be sure you arn't intoducing distortion........

I agree with Haunz. Watch the gains at that low of an impeedence. Just cause they work at 1ohm dosn't mean they will still be clean at 1ohm

Thanks for the info.
I'll let you guys know how it goes.

One more question is it a big difference from 2 ohms down to 1.5 ohms.
my brother has a dvc sub dual 3 ohms coils and the amp is only rated at 2 ohms mono. Will it be ok with the amp? It's a Hifonics vii atlas. it's a mono amp.

As haunz said, be careful with the gain **** and also, because you're running the amp below stable impedance, it will tend to get very hot. Make sure its installed in a location that allows adequate airflow otherwise it can cause the amp to go into protect mode or worse, premature failiure. If you can, put a fan on it...
