Well you know me, and I say the amp is not ready for retail and needs work. I can wait to test the improved version until then we wait again.

And I have no clue who's car that is so I can't help ya there.

OK

You can test in 10-18V, we do not have PWM problems and we do not need to have different voltage versions, ok?

Don... what makes you say that it's not "ready for retail" ...?

What would be the main areas that you think need to be improved before the amp is ready?

Jordy I got your msg and yes the amp needs a tweak from the version Murillio sent and he has stated that it was an older design which is ok. I also said the amp has potential, it is 30% smaller than the old 7KD and was able to keep up with it at 18 volt despite the problems.

Now I know it don't hold up with a 7K2D but I have not tested the most current version of the SD8000 YET. We will have to give Murillio some time to receive the amp back and make the changes to further models.

SD has a good thing going I think and I have nothing against new companies willing to work with the consumer as closely as they did to get some tests done.

Some tips for who will test:

Look at the ON state blue LED:

If is strong the amp is OK for burp, if its not the amp intered in Economy mode, made for daily use and it gives 3dB less until you rise the volume.

As TL systems takes 2-3 seconds to measure (funny because the pressure sensor only needs few milliseconds) you may start in Economy mode and finish in normal mode, and I think this could affect the SPL result.

So please look the led before burping people. The Economy mode enters in a few seconds after que amplifiers is ON.

Is there a way to defeat this 'economy' mode so that it provides full power for the entire burp (say, without rolling the volume)? Or is it only in economy mode for a few seconds after turning the amp on? Just curious.

Hello.

No, this is programmed in the microprocessor.

You have a time before the EM starts.

The uP detects that you are not using the amplifier at full power and reduce power consumption and output, until you rise the volume again.

What do you want to know? I dont sit on forums all day.

As far as the rex goes we built the boxes a week before, 1cft each and called it a day. The subs are treo`s that were won at a show and didnt feel like buying new subs for a test.
Head to head, same imp, and boxes, and voltage, is what we were after. Mabye Don can send the amp to you youile. You can test for your self.

On 16 volts this amps puts out huge power, but not all the power is usable due to distortion. But amp for amp same scores on 16 volts as a stetsom 16 volt dual bord.
