speakers in the trunks of smaller vehicles? noob Q
i never understood why people who do some hardcore fabrications in their cars, put speakers onto the doors of their trunk lids or in that space in general. does it have any effect in there when you got the other speakers in the actual cab of the car playing?
also, moving from one noob question to the next, ive wondered myself stupid on how major spl from a woofer doesnt sometimes overpower smaller speakers? like lets say youre listening to a song with long 808's (ready for whatever - T.I. lets say), hows does the heavy pressure coming off the woofer not hold the speaker cones back? is that what happens when your bass overpowers the music, orrrrr? maybe im underestimating the parts we use but for some reason its been buggin me. i guess in other words what im trying to say is, if theres enough air pressure then could it be like when one of us puts our finger on the cone of a woofer and move it involuntarily?
hmmm

Ok.. well first off the reason most people do custom enclosures like fiberglass is because well.. they have the money to do so, and when you say speakers on trunk lids, that's because the owners generally use the car as a show car and pop the trunk displaying their set up, and don't take this the wrong way but if your interested in the SPL side of car audio, you really shouldn't wory about weird things like if you had enough bass could you drown out a mid, obviously.. yes.. you can.. but the point of SPL is not to be able to hear the high's and mids cleary, post questions like this in SQL, you'll probibly get more replies.
