Which SPL amp you wish you had?
guess I'll need some more batts and an extra alt...LOL
the Crown A6000gti power out out
2600 Watts RMS x 2 channels at 4 ohms
and ≤ 1%THD+N
8110 Watts RMS x 1 channel at 4 ohms,
14.4V supply and ≤ 1%THD+N
7400 Watts RMS x 1 channel at 1 ohm,
14.4V supply and ≤ 1%THD+N
while........i was talking about 1 ohm vs. 2 ohm.
crown lovers are way too sq.
thumper, where is the 2 ohm rating for that amp since you were talking about more at 2 ohm vs. 4 ohm? I already knew it makes more power at 4 ohm than 1 ohm........how about 2 ohm?
I'm not shure about the 2ohm rating..it doesn't really make any noticable difference
to the ears in output from 1ohm to 4ohm..and yes Crown amp lovers are SQ guys
there is nothing like having those current servo's controlling the woofers down
in the really nitty gritty notes...
Team JBL has had a REALLY good run with these amps since 2003...
Crown amps have just an awsome track record for SQ

i personally dont think youll be able to notice the difference in dampening going from 4 ohm to 8 ohm with the JBL if its being run on woofers. Particularly if they arent pure SQ woofers. Farther more the amp is strongest at around 4 ohm which means with impedence rise factored in that 1-2 ohm will be where you want it wired depending on your rise of course. Although I dont think the amp will even turn on if wired below 1 ohm.
