The damping factor of an amp is what we call the ballz of the amp. When one amplifier's damping factor is higher than another's, that tells you that the amplifier with the higher damping factor can better control the speaker systems, and all other things being equal (frequency response, phase shift, distortion, etc.) that it is a better amplifier. So Marilo from what you have said a 1998 usamps 2000x which has a damping factor over 800 is by far stronger then your sd amps and most other class d amps that on average have a 200 damping factor. Trust me no other amp on the market i have ever test will put a sub out and bring it back clean with no distortion like a USamps 2000x class d i more efficent and makes more power but its dirty power and in spl clean or dirty dosent really matter.

SD rates DF at 1 ohm, so at 4 ohms (like US Amps rates) the SD8000, 12kD and 16kD Damping Factor value will be 800. We updated devices on the bigger amps and by now the DF is even higher.
You clearly have no idea what you are talking about, so it is like talking to a stone. DF dictades how the amplifier will deal with the back EMF of the coil, not related to power or anything like that. The amount of negative feedback will greatly affect the number also, but there are tradebacks.
In Brazil our amps are known for their great damping of loudspeakers, I believe here it won't be different.

So basically really beefy. I suspected this was the case. Probably no fuses because in competition it's do or die. Thanks everyone.
