my sub actually isn't an ID.
image dynamics lowest line is an ID then IDQ then ID MAX
the ID line would look very flimsy next to the MAX line. the IDs are a 250rms sub compared to the 1000rms of the MAX

im not gonna lie, looking at the cone, they are NOT flashy subs by any means.



sadly, i've never heard your clarion subs, i have heard good things though. im never down in brampton really, but let me know when you are out hear next and you can compare.
the sub is gonna be out of commision for a bit though, something messed up in my headunit today (alpine dva-9965), and i had to take it in, so i have no system for the time being, hopefully i get it back soon.....gotta go to custom tomorrow for the verdict on it.

 

Ahh there we go. That looks like a serious sub. The ones I saw there were right in front of the door in the bottom of a plexi stand. Kinda blue/green basket that looked like a guitar amp speaker to me. LOL Yours however looks like it makes some noise. There is a show this Saturday in Woodbridge I should be at if you get a chance to come out.

is there something else around here this summer? i've been reading up on those clarions, and they seem pretty serious. there isn't really anywhere in durham that carries clarion subs that i know of, so i haven't had much chance to hear their subs.

 

For the price I paid for my pair of 10s, I don't think you will find anything that will come close to them. $305 for the pair with full warranty. I got a good deal on the matching component set too. Just put in my 2 new midbass drivers they replaced no questions after smoking them doing SPL last Sunday LOL. Beat a guy in SQ running a full active 3 way Hertz front stage.

Talk to Lee at Radioactive in Burlington. They were that cheap as they were the last of last years model he was trying to clear out for the new stuff. I have not had a chance to hear the new models yet though. Might be dropping in there in the next little while to look at some new amps , I will try to get a listen and let you know how they compare. I really like this sub. Wish I could have become more familiar with line before it's demise.
