SPL sub options

Okay, so I am moving my two 12w3v3's from my car to my truck. I decided my new subs will be more SPL oriented than the JL's. I am looking to support local and my budget, with box is $900.

Ideally I want two subs.

Shopping locally I am limited on options. I have found twoTsunami 15's I can pick up for 400 each. I would then have to build my own box to come in budget. Never heard them, any thoughts?

Other than that the old standby Kicker`s are an option. I can get 2 12'' L5's in a ported Kicker box coming in around 600 or two 15"L5's without box for 600.

SPL wise there's not much else for me in town. Any thoughts of the two subs mentioned. Also, does any one know the port tuning on the Kicker box

How much power do you have to give this SPL setup?

Locally sold SPL brands in BC would include: DC; DD; RF; SSA; Alpine...

I'm pretty sure that you won't be happy with the Tsunami. They're not really known for anything but supplies.

Have you tried going to any local shops to see what they can do for you?

I ended up ordering a pair of Mach 5 12 IXL BR's and should get them within a couple days. I will be powering them with an MRp-M2000 at 2 ohm. The price was defintely right and i'm going to get tthumper to build me a box shortly.

Send Father Yuli a PM. I think they run like $480.
