Funny thing is, now with more options available I am sure to further my quest for the loudest sub in each application. hehe

True, but if you remember dbDrag World finals, an 'American Bass' sub was loudest...
So equipment plays a role, install plays the most important role. IMHO

</font>[/QUOTE]Actually it wasn't an american bass sub. it was a Shocker Xtreme 18 and american bass amps, The DD's were pretty loud though.
they were the top subs in street class anyway. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I'd personally go with the Phoenix Gold I heard a lot of feedback ontheir gear when I was startin out, now I have a 12" RF (that'll be up for sale soon possibly) and a pair of Alpine Type R 10's The RF Gear was just under $500 for the amp the sub the box and the wires.

Dude... if your lady wants SPL, then she should be looking at 15's IMO... find something that has alot of excursion compaired to thermal power handeling and put them in a huge box (ie the whole trunk) with your 600RMS....

Be sure to go ported, and make sure you pay attention to tuning.... No doubt you could hang with the guys with 1 12 and 4x the power....

lol what a peice of advice that is. maybe i should just dump all my amps and make a big ported box then.
