SPL System - Everyone's Input wanted!!!
2000 Neon, that is what will kill you with those plans. I can gain over 2dB just dropping just about any box we use into a 97 Sunfire GT (powered of the Neon of course).
Neon in SPL =
The best I have seen out of a 2000+ is a 48 flat.

Mike Stiers is NOT using $1000 worth of equipment! And its not a second gen Neon.
I didn't say it was impossible. Chris, you of all people should know that I believe I can get the Neon into the 50's. But its not going to be easy. Absolutely ANY box I have made for the neon gains around 2dB just by dropping it in the Sunfire.
If anyone has any ideas on getting one of these cars loud please share. I have tried over 10 boxes this summer (would have tried many more if time allowed).

A wall would be fun but it will never happen with the Neon. I would buy a car just for competing, and reality is I just don't have the time to do what I really want to so I think next year we will be competing a little less. EVERY weekend is just too hard to do and keep the business going.

Oh I know that you know it is possible.. but just from that statement I dont want anyone with a neon to get discouraged..
We all know different boxes work in different cars/trucks/suvs/vans/etc.. just because a few boxes are 2 db's louder in the sunflower.. err sunfire --- there's no reason why your car wont be 2 db's louder than the sunfire with other certain boxes..
But I agree with JordyO.. a wall is definatly the way to go
