March 20/05 (first day of spring
)
In a street vehicel application:
when u have ur box in place, and are testing it, try moving it around, try proping in up on 1 side, or another, try adding pieces of wood to the box as wave guides, try to cover the outside of the box, in materials such as resin, tile, plaster, stucco, etc.
Also u can try to make the ENTIRE box from different material. I made a 1/2 inch plate steel box that weighted over 250lbs , I have also done the cement one, ALL fiberglass one, oak boxes, you name it

Good point on the extra materials thing.
I once used shingles all over the outside of my box! Then I installed a rain gutter, and a folding spout so that my subs wouldn't get wet.
Worked pretty well, til I accidentally stuck the hose in the ports.
Next time I'm gonna shingle the inside too!

Here is my tip for march:
...i though it would be a good one for this time of the year, since the season is going to start in this area in a couple of months....
DON'T PROCRASTINATE! plan your system ahead of time and everytime you go to work on your car know what you're going to do and what you want to get done. set realistic goals that will be able to get finished and be prepared when doing an install. most jobs will take you a longer time then expected and you don't want to be stuck at the last minute trying to finish a box, or find out why an amp isn't working - as a least 1 or 2 people will do at EVERY show.
the season sneaks up on you fast and then before you know it you're in the middle of the season and haven't even done anything new to the setup!
(can anyone tell who's been procrastinating this year?!?...it's the weather that's stopping me i tell you...the weather...

All I was saying is that it's much harder to get SPL in that vehicle, that's all.
