Here is something I have learned. Baltic birch is louder then MDF and it costs about triple the price.

i have already done a solid oak box and it is just as loud as MDF but way harder to put the box together. Just ask Paul from Perfect Tones.

I think the 1/2 steel box was only like 200 lbs wasn't it Curtis?

Now 1" might be a little too much!

the 1/2 inch plate steel box worked to 250lbs :S yeah i managed to lift in in/out of the crx on my own... probably why i suffer from back pains.. doin dumb things...

1 inch... a SS box.. [img]graemlins/freak.gif[/img] that's a diff story.

My tip for this month is a lesson I have learned as of late...

If you going to do it...DO IT!!Don't sit around saying "I'm thinking of 'this and that'"...GO DO IT!!

I have recently done a major upgrade to my system that I have been pondering and been nagged about doing for ages now...I did it and I'm sorry I didn't do it sooner!!

And as well....Go BIG or go home!! [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

If your not willing to go all out...your hearts not in it...just my thoughts anyway...
