Well, first I'd check your suitibility for the drivers. Grab up your user's manual, because you're gonna need it for this.

Suitability Check
EBP = Fs / Qes

0-50 better for sealed, 50-100 better for ported.

0 50 100
Sealed Ported

Ported Box Formulae for optimum box volume. (This might take you awhile.)

These are for OPTIMUM box volume - no ripple. Smooth all the way down, and no overlap to enhance bass. Also, these are for a round port.

Box Volume (Vb)
Qts^2.78 X (Vas X 15) = Vb

F3 point
Qts^-1.4 X (.26 X Fs) = F3

Port Tuning Frequency
(Vas / Vb)^.31 X Fs = Fb

Vent Length
Note; Vr = vent radius.
Lv = 14630000 X Vr^2 / (1728 X Vb X Fb^2) - (1.463 X Vr)

Have fun with your algebra.

I think clipped signal is the main reason.

The output wave reach the Vbus of the amplifier and then the wave get this form:

The axial movement loses the smoothness of the sine wave and the coil suffer from the lack of cooling of the square wave, and of course, square waves transfer more energy into the coil.

This happens when we pass the maximum level in the HU.

Well, you have to push the limits if you want to move forward and be louder, Blowing subs is just the consequence of moving to the next level.
