subwoofer question
hey im interested in buying a new subwoofer for my car. right now im pretty set on buying 1 10" mtx 9500w wiht 750w RMS 1500w peak. now i am able to get a MA audio HK150XC 15" sub 600w RMS 1200w peak. which do u guys think will be louder? the MA sub come with a perfect amp for it. would there be a big problem with sq with the 15"?

Either woofer will depend on the enclosure they are loaded into for SQ. In general, my experience has been that the larger woofers have a "fatter" bottom end, which is a good or bad thing depending on what kind of music you listen to.
The MTX will take more power than the MA, but that comes at a price.....electrical upgrades to power it properly may wind up costing you as much or more than the speaker itself.
More things to think about....

i dont think electrical will be a big deal with either sub im running 900 watts rms on stock batt and my alt has 300 000 kms on it belive it or not its original from 1997. i have a 1 ferrad cap and thats about it i hit 140.7db's and never had electrical issues. I would personally go for the mtx ! my bud has a 15 and it does not sound great at all and he had all the work done by a car audio shop

personaly ide go with two 12'', something like the mtx 7500's. thoes things have a rms of 400w and meny reviews state that they are under rated big time, and some reviews even state that they sound as loude as many 1200w subs. they would b a lot cheeper in the long run also
