Now explain to me, Kirby, which drivers will sound better in extreme heat? Which will last longest? Pray tell.

are u jokin about even asking that?

the answer is very simple - the ones that are designed for extreme level of heat will obviously sound better in heat. and will also last longer DUUHHHHH

so u would take the 10" mtx 750w rms over the 12" treo 400w rms. i know the mtx has almost double the power rating but i heard treo tsx are pretty sick.

i'd take whatever is cheaper

but if your amp is 1200 watts why would u have a sub that rated to handle less power? it will break.

Subs dont make the power.

It will handle more, get what matches you amp, a sub with less handling will just burn up.

nah bro, subs power rating does not indicate if it will be louder or not.

it is all dependant on your amplifier.

subwoofers do not make power, they only HANDLE the power produced by the amplifier.

so if your amplifier is rated to PRODUCE 1200 watts but your sub is rated to HANDLE only 700 watts u will end up over powering the sub and it will break.

just remember, subs dont make power, they handle it.

amplifiders is what makes the power.

yeah i know that. but the amp isnt always running at full power. its only doing that when u put it to full volume. can u not just set the gains correctly so the amp doesnt give too much power to the sub(correct me if im wrong).
