Ugly SPL
I made mine look good this year on my first build.....BIG mistake. lol In the past week it got a total tear down and rebuild, and no i didnt bother prettying it up this time. lol Before finals it will be repainted, finished and detailed.
define "ugly"
My wall is not painted, yet it is not ugly. all my wiring is neatly hidden under the carpet (8 runs of power/ground), and all the wiring is zap strapped neatly as well. My amps are centered on the side of my wall, and all in all looks really cool for someone to see such a large system in a neon. I constantly am ripping apart the wall to change things, yet, I keep it neat as possible. I don't paint it because it's a waste of time and materials to redo that constantly. I will however do it before worlds, just because it will not be worked on again in that car, next year will be somthing different

its simple.. if you want to do heavy competition, and win, dont waste time on look because you will pass ur nights stripping it to find extra DBs
if you wanna hit 150 then stop, keep it ugly till you hit it, then make it look good... but its much harder to work on a cute setup and keep it clean cut
