ultimate car for spl?

Here's a question that i've pondered , and i wanna see what everyone else think. Here is the car and why.
small car:
4 door sprint or firefly. both have small spaces and both have small front door, leaving the box as close to the front as possible. both are cheap to start with and easily trailered. both have that round look to them and the contours are just about right.everything can easily be replaced and beefed up(suspension, etc) but it does have it's draw backs. not much room for batts and anything else.
meduim car:
4 door dodge shadow. same again, doors are smaller, much stronger built car. has room for batts underneath and/or inside. great shape. cheap to purchase, lots of room in engine compartment for upgrades(alternator, motor, etc) solid car. very easy to upgrade suspension and all drive train parts. cheap to get parts for it.
van or wagon :
ah this one took some thought. i went with nissan muti(had one of these years ago). first off, it has 4 doors, 2 sliding. makes it very easy to work with. flat floor. easy to cover. no definite side pillars. lots of room to load up with batteries and amps. Very easy to build up suspension. has traling arms so it can be upgraded with big springs and shocks. The shape of the car is one that has the shortest distance from box to dash(at least i think). Cheap to get
Now i really didn't think about a bigger van , but i just thought about these and the fact that either one of these would make a great street, super street and extreme. i'm sure there are many more. and thats where you all come in. any thoughts and ideas on what would make a good vehicle choice? and why

My 86 Civic 2door
Car is w-i-d-e for a 'little car' (hows 54" at the B pillars sound ) for a bunch o' drivers, it's flat from the back seat to the back of the car, has a solid rear axle with struts so megga easy to add bags or extra coils, floor is readily hogged out for a battery tray, motor lasts forever, parts are everywhere, has torsion bars in front so levelling is free, carbureted with manual choke so setting RPM for a run is dead simple. That should do
Anyone wanna sport me 4 dozen 10s? If I can get a sponsor I'll actually build it

would that same car in a 4 door bring the b pillar forward a couple inches?. some how in my head i keep picturing a 4 door. 54 on the doors, with 6 on each door gives you 42. pretty damn close to the required 40 for db drag. thanks dukk. any one else?
I was gonna go to a local wrecker and take all day saturday to measure cars? gives me a chance to see what's out there. i know a civic would be good one(heck Moe hit damn good numbers with it).

The 4door Civic Wagon is similar to a Nissan Multi so yeah the doors are 'shorter' front to back but the car is taller and fricking butt fugly.
What's this about: "54 on the doors, with 6 on each door gives you 42. pretty damn close to the required 40 for db drag." ??

but mind you , thats for extreme. if the car a bit smaller, than maybe you don't need the 6 inches on each door to make the 40 inch clearance. the less on the door, the lighter the door can be. just imagine a 200 lb door. hahaha
