Wow if your ports are that far off you need to do a single 9" port but with the port mounted 4-6" inside the box. Should see a nice gain there.

how may watts are you getting from thepair of 5kw amps?
that as much difference versus one 7kw?

 

you would never see full power out of either a pair of 5k's or a single 7k's on one battery........a pair of 5k's can make as much as 6500 rms on one battery whereas, one 7k mite only make 4-4500rms on the same battery.

you gain efficiency by using multiple amps, most likely because less heat is generated when current is limited to each board.........im sure there are other factors, im not aware of them though!

 

A single 7Kw will make over 5000 rms off the same battery, a little less with a smaller batt
