i know what i said kinda is an oxymoron but i was reading some things on ssa and one guy stepped up from 1500w to 3000w and lost something like 2 db.

and according to an article i read doubling in power should be equal to a 3db gain in most cases.

so what im trying to say in all actuality is get a big mofuggin amp and alot of batteries to supply the voltage and you should be fine.
if you cant have alot of batteries.... uhoh.

and there again better does not always mean bigger.
maybe more efficent, or maybe less thd... there are meny factors that determin which amp is better then another.

like what if one amp does 1000W one does 500.
the 1000 lasts a year while the 500 lasts 10 years.
now which one is better...

IMO even if Earthquake and USAmps were both 1500 watts, Earthquake would still be louder, because usually Earthquake amps are known to produce more distortion than an average amp, which makes them appear to sound louder. I prefer DD or Treo. p.s. your car must have a heck of an alt!

i believe the z1 is the most efficient of the three. Speaking of efficiency not score.

numbers on paper really dont mean anything. You could compare 2000 watts from a normal brand and 5000 watts from a crappy brand etc. It all depends on the install and the actual amps being tested. Case and point I gained 2.9 db going from a 2500 watt amp to a 4000 watt amp.

i would pick the american bass amp but when i played with the 400.1 they were kinda tricky but i got them to work out..... I own alot of D10's and bang for the buck they are sweet also , DD blah !!! if you want to wait 6 months before they get fixed if they blow but then again I waited 9 months for the d10's also haha
