As I am not a Kicker dealer and the Kicker dealer does not build boxes, we have a unique problem. I have a older Nissan 240sx sedan that sucks blue whale to get a sub box into. Now of course the customer wants the nice big slot loaded box to fit in his tiny little trunk. The box must be made in separate chambers and installed as such and then bolted together once into this tiny little hole in the back you can call a trunk. We have about a max of 5.0 cu.ft. and the box will have 2 of these L7 subs. We must use a coupled chamber box with one or two slot ports. Two separate boxes is not an option. Anyone with some feedback on this it would be appreciated.

Max SPL is a 3.25 cuft slot ported enclosure per sub.
Street Bass is 2.5 cuft slot port per sub.

Got that much and more already Joe, thanks for the input though. It does not solve my problem though. I'm going to try something a little different today and see how it goes.

Tell him one is enough...LOL
This was a 2.5 cu.ft. box in my 240SX. What a pain that was. Placement sucks serious poo and the package shelf does not come down all the way. You should convince the dude to go sealed and use one amp per.

Otherwise it'll have to be 5-6 cubes for ported. Ouch.

for starters dont build to those kicker specks you get in that little hand book.. measure the aviable space and build to suit and ive gone though alot of solos they are a great sub they just dont last as long as you would want if they dont have the proper encloser. i would say with your car subs up and ports back aka crx box its a good box for your application try to build it 2 to 2.5 cu and make your ports from end to end about 12" and use the arrow ports the are louder

Well, box is loooooooong ago built, thanks for the info and feedback guys. The 240sx was not a hatchback like shown above, it was the notchback secretarial version and it blows chunks to get a large box into.

I'm sure I'll see him back when he blows another pair of them....... <waiting patiently for a week now>
